Sowing rate and its effects on forage yield of tetraploid ryegrass

There is a shortage of information about the ryegrass crop (Lolium multiflorum Lam.), especially regarding suitable sowing rate. Thus, present work aimed to determine most adequate rate for tetraploid cultivars. A population was sown at different densities: 150, 300, 600, 900, 1200, 1500, 1800 seeds/m². The number plants per m², percentage soil cover, leaf yield and green dry forage were evaluated. experimental design randomized blocks with three replications. To observe behavior pasture densities each cut, regression analysis performed, through which it possible verify that has greater influence on initial cut crop.
